Coronavirus 2020

During the Coronavirus pandemic Oxfam worked around the world to support communities who were impacted by the virus. In Jordan, we worked to reach 78,000 people in Zaatari refugee camp to provide them with water, hygiene, and sanitation (WASH) resources to help curb the spread of the virus.

Oxfam’s work

Our expertise in WASH allowed us to conduct hygiene awareness work in Papua New Guinea and deliver hundreds of handwashing kits and public health information packs in Timor-Leste, as well as being involved in projects in Bangladesh, India, Iraq, Vanuatu, Pakistan and Indonesia – all centred on sanitation and tools to stop the spread.
