Cholera season is coming to Zambia
As we look ahead to the festive season, families in Zambia are bracing for a very different annual event. November to January is typically a time when heavy rains fall, washing waste into already murky water sources.
Parents like Priscilla (pictured) are left with no choice but to give their children dirty, contaminated water and risk them getting sick and dying from preventable waterborne disease like cholera.
That is something no parent should ever have to do. But together, we can help.
With your generous donation, we can provide clean water and sanitation so that families living in poverty like Priscilla’s can protect themselves from the deadly threat of cholera.
Please donate urgently today.
Donations of $2 or more are tax deductible, and you will be immediately emailed a tax donation receipt. Your donation will be used in support of Oxfam’s efforts around the world. This story is one of the many ways we work with communities living in poverty to improve their lives.
