‘Why is the world unfair?’ helps the children in your life understand our world

“Mum, why is there a war?”

When children, with their keen powers of observation, ask such questions, we find ourselves in a difficult position to answer them. Even though we as adults have become accustomed to an unequal world, we generally want to protect our children from these difficult topics. It’s also very easy for caregivers to feel overwhelmed about how best to answer them. 

The world can often be unfair, but by discussing the important issues in this free book you’ll have a way of explaining why this unfairness happens. Most importantly, you will be able to talk about issues in a way that children can understand and process safely. 

This book is intended to give children the courage to question the unjust world and develop a sense of justice. It explains that even if the world is sometimes unfair, we can approach others with empathy and mindfulness and actively help shape our environment.  There are also practical tips included so that children reading it can feel like they are making a difference, no matter how small their actions.  

This book is for all children and everyone who cares for them. Together, we can make the world a more equal place, for everyone.
