Executive Leadership Team

Dr Chrisanta Muli

FCMA, CGMA

Role: Acting Chief Executive

Areas of responsibility:  International development, humanitarian programs, strategic planning, cross-agency collaboration

Chrisanta is an impact-driven feminist and is passionate about gender equality and social justice. With 20 years of experience in the international development sector as both a practitioner and academic, she has worked as a consultant for several NFP organisations. She has also been a senior lecturer at various Australian universities.

For the past four years, Chrisanta has served as the CEO of One Girl, an organisation whose mission is to work and walk with girls and their communities to break down barriers that girls face in accessing quality education.

We have partnered with the executive recruitment firm, Future Leadership, to lead the search for our new Chief Executive. Chrisanta will be serving as Acting Chief Executive during this recruitment process. The firm is working closely with the Oxfam Australia Board throughout this process.

Andrew Buchanan

Role: Director of Fundraising and Resource Growth

Areas of responsibility: Fundraising and supporter engagement

Andrew Buchanan joined Oxfam Australia in August 2019.

Andrew has excelled in brand, marketing and communications positions across a number of market sectors for 20 years. With a passion for supporter service, innovation and insight driven decision-making, Andrew has led significant fundraising growth agendas for a number of large Australian Not-for-Profit organisations including Mission Australia and Cancer Council.

Andrew is passionate about Oxfam’s rights based development approach and its commitment to transparency and accountability to all of its stakeholders including its incredible supporters.

Tahj Richardson

Role: Interim Director Strategy and Innovation

Areas of responsibility: Strategic planning, organisational collaboration, change management

Tahj has two decades of experience as a strategic leader driving organisational development and cultural transformation within the professional services and public utility sectors.

Tahj is guided by an unwavering passion for creating impactful change, coupled with a deep desire to harness innovation to develop lasting solutions.  Committed to transparency, accountability and continuous learning, Tahj joined Oxfam in 2022 enabling a redirect of her capabilities into a purpose-led environment.

Sarah Madacki

Role: Acting Director, Programs and Transformation

Areas of responsibility: International development, humanitarian programs, strategic planning, cross-agency collaboration, operations

With over 25 years of experience including a decade in the not-for-profit sector — Sarah has worked extensively across the Asia-Pacific region. Sarah brings a strong strategic, operational, and programmatic background, with expertise in operational leadership, structural transformation, and human resources.
