Politics of Poverty – Dr Helen Szoke, Chief Executive, Oxfam Australia
We now live in a world where the richest 85 people on the planet own as much as the poorest half of humanity. Seven out of 10 people on the planet live in countries where economic inequality is worse than it was 30 years ago. Australia is no exception. The richest 1 % of Australians owns as much as the bottom 60%.
As an organisation working towards a world free from poverty, Oxfam is clear that it must tackle inequality as one of the key threats to our mission.
On Wednesday 29 October hear Dr Helen Szoke discuss how Oxfam will be addressing this issue both globally and nationally.

London’s Daily Telegraph said Collaborators “thrills, chills and makes you laugh out loud – even though you know you shouldn’t”
This is The Stirling Players’ second Australian premiere in two years and sixth South Australian premiere in a row, further strengthening their reputation for staging new and challenging plays.
