Haiti one year on: creating jobs to help rebuild lives

A year after the devastating earthquake that rocked Haiti on 12 January 2010, 80% of Haitians still lack any formal employment. Without jobs, people cannot feed their families. The process of recovery and rebuilding cannot begin.

We’re hiring people to work on short-term projects removing rubble and doing other urgent recovery work, and we’re supporting local business owners – the lifeblood of the Haitian economy – to get back on their feet.
